From the start point of Sea Rays Cafe we head west into the Akamas Peninsula riding along the rugged Akamas coastline and beaches of Toxeftra and Lara beach, stopping off at Lara Turtle Sanctuary to see the work done by the volunteers to protect the Turtle Nest Sites.
At the 15km point the route climbs for 7km to one of the highest points on the route at 300m above sea level with views of both North and South coastline.
We continue along the High Akamas Trail for 8km before descending down to the Akamas Light House at the 32km point and 200m above sea level, with views of Blue Lagoon, Fontana Amoroza and Cape Arnaoutis we take a lunch break before taking to a technical descent back to sea level.
We follow the Akamas coastline heading East on a mainly flat trail with some short climbs before reaching the finishing point at Sea Rays Cafe.
This tour is best suited to the experience rider with good level of fitness.

The day starts early in the morning! Our team will pick you up and drive you to our MTB Center where your bike will be fitted and safety briefing will be attended.

After a long but rewarding day in the Akamas peninsula uncovering the raw beauty of the nature park around the lighthouse and its breathtaking views it is time to head back. Enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the Mediterranean at Searays Cafe before our team drives you back to your hotel.

Elpidas House traditional stone villas situated in the picturesque village of Goudi a short drive away from the bustle of Paphos, close to the unspoilt little town of Polis with its charming fishing village of Latchi and just 5km away from the scenic beaches of the Akamas Bay.
- Hydration pack with minimum 2 litre fluid capacity and additional pockets for essentials (snacks, phone, camera, suncream)

Wearing a cycle helmet is mandatory throughout the tour. Helmets, which have been especially selected for their lightweight quality, comfortable fit and ventilation are included. They are perfect on long grinder climbs, and have the latest Helmet MIPS technology (MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System, which is a leading slip-plane technology inside the helmet designed to reduce rotational forces that can result from certain impacts).
If you prefer the familiarity of your own bike, you may of course bring it along. We ride mainly on hard pack surface with loose gravel & down hill rocky technical section. We would recommend full suspension Trail type bike. Please make sure a proper servicing is done before the trip and carry along all necessary parts/equipments your bike requires.
Any clients bringing their own bike should ensure they have adequate cover for loss, damage or theft under their travel, home contents or a specialist insurance policy. We will take all reasonable care to ensure the safety of your bike, in the rare event of loss, damage or theft you will need to claim under your own insurance policy.
You may like to bring your own pedals and saddle if it is your preference, however, please note that you are responsible for your own equipment, and removing your saddle/pedals at the end of the trip. We cannot guarantee the return of any bike parts left behind.
Padded cycling shorts, breathable clothing, and a lightweight waterproof/windproof top for the winter months.
Cycling of all kinds has its dangers and accidents can happen from time to time. Please ensure that you are properly prepared for the riding you are going to undertake, with a good level of fitness and off road cross-county riding experience is essential. Riding with confidence on hard pack loose gravel with down hill technical sections (our tours are not for the novice rider, and over 18 only)
Travel insurance is essential, with additional cover for Mountain Biking for five days or more, for cross-county riding, on off road tracks that are non-specific mtb trails.
